Injection mold maintenance and inspection and repair measures

Injection molds should be tested for various properties of the mold under normal operation of the injection molding machine and mold, and the dimensions of the final molded plastic parts should be measured. This information can be used to determine the current state of the mold, find out where the cavity, core, cooling system and parting surface are damaged, and the damage state of the mold and repair measures can be determined based on the information provided by the plastic parts.

Springs and other elastic parts are most easily damaged during use, and usually break and deform. The solution is to replace them. During the replacement process, you must pay attention to the specifications and models of the springs. The specifications and models of the springs are confirmed by color, outer diameter and length. Only when the three items are the same can they be replaced.

During the use of mold products, the punches are prone to breakage, bending and gnawed, and the punch sleeves are generally gnawed. The damaged punches and punch sleeves are generally replaced with parts of the same specifications. The parameters of the punches mainly include the working part size, installation part size, length size, etc.

Parts also need to be fixed from time to time. Check whether the fastening parts are loose or damaged frequently. The solution is to find parts of the same specifications for replacement.

During maintenance, check the relationship between the accessories of each part and whether there is any damage, repair the damaged parts, check whether there is any leakage with the pneumatic jack, and take measures for specific situations. For example, replace the air pipe if it is damaged.

Several important parts of the mold should be tracked and tested: the role of the ejector and guide components is to ensure the opening and closing movement of the mold and the ejection of the plastic parts. If any part of them is stuck due to damage, it will lead to production suspension. Therefore, the mold ejector and guide pillar should be lubricated regularly (the most suitable lubricant should be selected), and the ejector and guide pillar should be regularly checked for deformation and surface damage. Once found, they should be replaced in time;

After completing a production cycle, the mold working surface, movement, and guide components should be coated with professional anti-rust oil. In particular, the protection of the bearing parts of the mold with gears and racks and the elastic strength of the spring mold should be paid attention to to ensure that it is always in the best working condition;

At the same time, attention should be paid to the cleaning of the flow channel, because the longer the time, the easier it is for the cooling channel to deposit scale, rust, silt and algae, etc., which will reduce the cross-section of the cooling flow channel and narrow the cooling channel, greatly reduce the heat exchange rate between the coolant and the mold, and increase the production cost of the enterprise. For hot runner mold products, the maintenance of the heating and control system is conducive to preventing production failures.
